Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

It's been forever since I've written. Thought I'd try and get back to my book reviews.

I most recently finished re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Why? To prepare for the next installment of Harry Potter- there's only 130 more days to go! The first time I read- wait make that devour this book, I just wanted to finish it to see what happened. Consequently, there were some details that I glossed over on. JK Rowling is an amazing writer. The character of Professor Umbridge is one of those characters that you LOVE to HATE! I'm amazed at some of the stories and ideas that people come up with. Can you imagine someone so motivated to be in power and so cruel to others. Wait, what am I saying, in the modern times that we live in, of course that can easily be imagined.
I really can't wait to see what happens with the Half Blood Prince (due out July 16, 2005). Rowling left the end of OtP dangling with lots of unanswered questions. I want to know how the war between good and evil continues (but it must be said that even those of the "good" side can be bad). There aren't a lot of clear cut black and white, this is good and this is bad. Many of the characters can easily be seen in terms of both, esp. Snape. I'm hoping that we'll learn his history soon.
I really am in love with the series. I love the idea that there is an underground society that lives amongst us and can do magic. I'd also love to see Hermonie take the mixture of magic and science one step further. (Anyone could easily do this, but I could see Hermonie running with the idea).

So yeah... just 130 more days to go...

Next up: Heroics for Beginners by John Moore
