C25K: Week 1, day 1
I survived the first run!!! YEAH!!!! I thought that I wouldn't have the stamina for the running part, but that doesn't seem like it was a problem (for the first one anyways). The part that was giving me the most problems were my shins. I think its safe to say that no, I can't wear my walking shoes while running. By the end of the run my knees felt like jelly, mainly because I couldn't do the full range of motion of my shins. I hope that new shoes will help. I stretched out my shins and have to say there is no pain- just a little bit of muscles saying "HI! You haven't used us in FOREVER!!!" All is well.
